Alabama needed a new kicker for the 2024 season and was able to land the most recent winner of the Lou Groza Award, given to the nation's best kicker.
Graham Nicholson won the award this past season for Miami (Ohio) and announced Sunday on social media that he is transferring to Alabama.
The Crimson Tide were looking to replace Will Reichard, a finalist for the award who graduated.
Nicholson made 27 of 28 field goal attempts in 2023, which was good for the third-best field goal percentage among all kickers who had more than one attempt.
